Tigard's Free Prescription Discount Card Program

Tigard started participating in this free program in August, 2009. As a member of the National League of Cities (NLC), Tigard is able to offer residents a free card that helps them battle the high cost of prescription drugs – especially nice for those without health insurance or residents that have prescriptions not covered by insurance.

Between August 2009 and September 2011, resident have used their card on 483 prescriptions and saved $7,991. The program is administered by CVS Caremark. There’s no enrollment form, membership fee or restrictions/limits on the frequency of use and it’s accepted at all major pharmacy chains and most local independent pharmacies. Pick up your free card at the Tigard Library, City Hall or on-line at www.tigard-or.gov/community/prescription_discount_program

Welcome! We are a neighborhood of Tigard, a suburb about 10 miles southwest of Portland, Oregon. Area 10 is bounded on the north by Walnut, the east by Pacific Highway (99W), and the west and south by Gaarde. On a clear day, we have breathtaking views of Mount Hood from atop the hill on the south end of Gaarde!
